I Tested Caktus AI: Full Review 2024

Caktus AI is an AI tool built to help students with their studies and homework. Caktus AI is rapidly gaining popularity but is it legit?

I decided to test the tool and its features to share my experience with you.

In this article, I will be giving you an in-depth look into what Caktus AI offers and give you an unbiased review.

Caktus AI is a comprehensive tool made to help students with their schoolwork and exam preparations.

It offers a suite of over 60 tools that include AI writing tools as well as AI assistants to help you with specific subjects.

Caktus AI is integrated with CORE and only refers to published research papers. This makes it a great resource for seeking academic help.

Caktus AI offers a large set of features for many different needs. 

As soon as you log in, you will be asked why you intend to use Caktus AI. 

Depending on what you choose, you will get a personalized dashboard. This is where you can access all the features Caktus offers.

Here are some of the key features:

Essay Writer

Caktus’s essay writer offers three different types of essay writers:

• Easy Essay: This allows you to enter a topic and write an essay with one click.

• Simple Essay: This also allows you to write an essay with one click but for academic purposes. It will also provide you with citations which enhances the content’s academic merit.

• Detailed Essay: This tool allows you to control many aspects of the essay you are generating. You can choose:
  • The purpose of the essay
  • The tone of voice
  • Thesis 
  • The length of the essay
  • The essay structure

For this review, I created a detailed essay with Caktus AI writer and I liked how the content turned out. 

I asked Caktus AI to write an essay on the topic “Should Plastics be Banned” with the purpose of convincing the reader in a confident tone.

I liked the writing style and the amount of detail it provided about the topic. Even if you don’t end up using the content as is, it can still help your writing process.

However, the AI writer did not add any citations for the text. This isn’t always the case though as I tried other topics and it did add citations but it could be improved.

I also decided to put the essay through an AI content detector and it came out to be 100% AI-generated content.

The AI detection is a front that Caktus could improve on but they do offer a tool to humanize content. I used this tool and the content still came out to be 95% AI-generated. 

Although the content is detectable by AI detectors, for academic purposes it is much better than other tools like ChatGPT or Writesonic.

Math & Science (STEM Tool)

The Math and Science solver by Caktus AI allows you to either enter a formula or describe a problem to get a detailed explanation.

I started by entering a formula and Caktus AI returned tons of details in seconds. Here’s a picture of the results:

You can also describe a problem and Caktus AI will provide you with a step-by-step solution. 

I asked it to solve a math question and it gave a great explanation about the concepts used as well as the steps taken.

AI Assistant

The AI assistant is a Caktus’ custom AI chatbot that is trained to help students with schoolwork.

You can use the AI assistant to get help with your classes and homework. 

For this review, I asked the assistant to help me with a research paper. 

It is extremely impressive and I was blown away by how helpful the information was. I asked it to provide me with information for my research paper titled “The Negative Effects of Plastic”.

It was able to provide me with relevant information and also gave me the resources for each piece of information. 

This is especially impressive as a tool like ChatGPT refuses to provide you with resources of the information it offers, which makes it difficult to verify it. 

Job Application Tools

Caktus AI also offers tools to help you with your job search. 

It offers a cover letter writer and resume bullet point generator.

You can create a cover letter by entering your name, job title, and the name of the company you are applying to and uploading a copy of your resume.

You can also create bullet points to add to your resume for a job by entering a prompt in the Resume bullet points generator. 

I thought the results of these tools were sub-par.

Caktus AI’s language tutor is an AI-powered tool that can answer questions in different languages.

This tool is actually much more trivial than you’d expect. It’s not exactly a tutor. All it does is answer your questions in different languages.

Coding Tools

Caktus AI offers many coding tools including:

• Python writer
• Java writer
• C# writer
• Javascript writer
• Go writer
• SQL writer
• Typescript writer
• Ruby Writer

It offers tools to write code in most of the major programming languages. 

All you need to do is describe what you want your code to do and it will write the code alongside an explanation of what exactly it’s doing.

The base plan may be more than enough for you if you are just looking for a tool to help you with your studies as it offers almost all of the features. 

Pro Plan: $19.99/month

The Pro plan offers one additional functionality, which is the AI detection tool. And you get access to new beta features as well as priority support. 

In my opinion, you could easily avoid the pro plan.

Especially at the affordable pricing Caktus, it is almost a no-brainer for anyone who is looking for a study assistant.
